2016-17 College Football Playoffs
The New Year is upon us and you know what that means? It’s time for the College Football Playoffs! Here’s when and where you can catch the NCAA College Football Playoffs. This year’s semifinal games will feature the Playstation Fiesta Bowl and the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl. Want to see the College Football Playoffs live? Tickets for all games are still available here.
Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl – Semifinal Game 1
(1) Alabama Crimson Tide vs. (4) Washington Huskies
Where: Georgia Dome – Atlanta, GA
When: Saturday – December 31, 2016 @ 3:00 pm ET (ESPN/ESPN App)
Alabama brings the only undefeated record to the table and are the obvious favorites to take home another championship to Tuscaloosa. The Huskies will have to bring their A-game to contend with the Roll Tide powerhouse. The key to victory for Washington will be their offense (#2 offensive efficiency) and they’ll need to put up points — lots of points. Alabama only ranks 23rd in the same category but they are #1 in defensive efficiency and game control. Nick Saban will have to greatly mismanage the game in order for the Huskies to have a real chance.
PlayStation Fiesta Bowl – Semifinal Game 2
(2) Clemson Tigers vs. (3) Ohio State Buckeyes
Where: University of Phoenix Stadium – Glendale, AZ
When: Saturday – December 31, 2016 @ 7:00 pm ET (ESPN/ESPN App)
Clemson returns to the college football playoffs and expect them to make a statement this year after a disappointing finish in last year’s championship game (lost by 5 points to Alabama). Don’t be surprised if we see a rematch in this year’s Championship. The Buckeyes are always contenders but will have to step up their play heading into the Fiesta Bowl. Ohio State barely squeaked by in their last two opponents winning by a combined total of 4 points. Star QB J.T. Barrett recent dominant play could be nightmare for the Clemson.
College Football Playoff National Championship
