Daniel Radcliffe is at it again. You’ve got to believe that this young man never has to work again after starring in 8 Harry Potter films. But that wildly successful franchise is not enough for this ambitious young Brit. He has shown again and again that he is more than The Boy Who Lived; he is an actor, and a committed one at that. Since beginning his time as Harry Potter, he has appeared in other films like the horror flick The Woman in Black, the Allen Ginsburg biopic Kill Your Darlings, and the downright weird Horns.
These other films are surely not the cash cows Radcliffe is used to selling, but money is clearly not all he is concerned with. Further proving that point is his theatrical resume (doing 8 shows a week for a theatre salary is something many movie stars would shudder to think of). Radcliffe starred in Peter Shaffer’s Equus in the West End in 2007 and then on Broadway in 2008-9. He followed that up with a considerably more lighthearted choice: the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway in 2011-12 (who knew he could sing and dance?).

Clearly, Radcliffe has been bitten by the Broadway bug, because his 2013 West End vehicle The Cripple of Inishmaan was announced to hit Broadway in April, 2014. His fans are always eager to watch him flex his acting muscles, and the Broadway community is certainly glad to have him, both for his committed performances and his ability to, well sell tickets. Here’s hoping he never gets tired of hitting the boards on the Great White Way.
